Big Moments Company: Our Official Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Big Moments Company respects your privacy. We help people plan meaningful moments, including proposals, birthdays, anniversaries, and other personal celebrations. Because our services may involve personal relationship details, partner preferences, location ideas, budgets, timelines, and other sensitive information, we take privacy seriously.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what choices you have. It also covers our members' platform: your account, dashboard, the photos and voice notes you upload, your keepsake scrapbooks, and the AI-assisted tools we use to help build your plans.

By using our website, submitting a questionnaire, purchasing a plan, joining a membership, joining our email list, or communicating with us, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

Big Moments Company provides personalized planning services for important relationship moments. Our services may include proposal plans, birthday plans, anniversary plans, monthly date night memberships, vacation and trip planning, keepsake scrapbooks, scripts, timing suggestions, location ideas, vendor suggestions, gift ideas, backup plans, and other planning support.

For questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal information, you can contact us at: questions@bigmomentscompany.com

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically when you use our website, and information needed to provide our services.

Information You Provide to Us

When you use Big Moments Company, we may collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if provided
  • Billing and payment-related information
  • Your relationship status or planning goal
  • Details about the person you are planning for
  • Important dates, locations, budgets, and preferences
  • Gift ideas, proposal ideas, event ideas, and personal notes
  • Answers submitted through our questionnaires
  • Photos, videos, and voice memos you choose to upload from your dates, used to create your keepsake scrapbooks
  • Facts and important dates you save to your memory vault
  • Dates and events you add to your couples calendar or reminders, and answers you save in member games and tools (including saved trip ideas, bucket-list items, nightly check-ins, and time-capsule notes)
  • Your home zip or postal code and country, if you provide them for trip planning; we convert these to approximate map coordinates to measure travel distances
  • Vacation questionnaire answers, such as who is traveling (including ages you provide for your travel group), travel windows, trip length, budget, and travel likes and dislikes
  • Which drafted dates you accept or pass on, and any notes you leave about why, used to make your future plans better
  • Ideas typed into the free Cup Draw game, stored anonymously (just the idea text, never who wrote it) to inspire the date plans we build
  • If you send a date-night invite from the Cup Draw game: the recipient's email address and name you enter, your own name and email if you add them (your email is confirmed with a one-time code), your note and the drawn cup picks, and your IP address — used only to deliver the invite and to prevent abuse
  • Feedback you send us after your dates
  • Partner survey answers, if your partner chooses to take one
  • If you buy a plan as a gift: your name, the recipient's first name, and the gift note you write, so the recipient can redeem the gift; if you redeem one, the email address you ask us to send your plan to
  • Messages you send to us
  • Feedback, testimonials, or reviews you choose to provide

Because our services are personalized, you may choose to share information about another person, such as your partner's likes, dislikes, personality, schedule, favorite places, ring preferences, birthday preferences, or proposal preferences. Please only share information that you are comfortable providing and that is reasonably necessary for us to create your plan.

Member sign-in is passwordless: we email you a one-time sign-in link instead of storing a password. We never collect or store passwords.

Payment Information

If you purchase a product, service, or membership, payment information is processed by our third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our own systems. For memberships, Stripe also manages your recurring billing and stores your subscription details, according to its own privacy policy and terms.

Website and Device Information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Pages visited
  • Time spent on the site
  • Referring website or source
  • General location information
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies
  • Analytics and performance data

This information helps us understand how people use our website, improve our services, and troubleshoot technical issues.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, improve, and operate Big Moments Company.

We may use your information to:

  • Create personalized proposal, birthday, anniversary, date night, or event plans
  • Prepare scripts, timelines, gift ideas, vendor ideas, location ideas, and backup plans
  • Assemble keepsake scrapbooks from the photos, videos, and voice notes you upload
  • Personalize your future monthly plans using your questionnaire answers, memory vault, feedback, and date history
  • Operate your member account and dashboard
  • Communicate with you about your purchase, membership, or questionnaire
  • Deliver your plan, keepsakes, or other purchased materials
  • Respond to questions and customer support requests
  • Process payments and manage orders and subscriptions
  • Send service updates, receipts, confirmations, sign-in links, or administrative messages
  • Send marketing emails if you have signed up for them
  • Improve our website, products, questionnaires, and planning process
  • Analyze website performance and customer behavior
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or misuse of our services
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your relationship details to publicly identify you or your partner without your permission.

4. Sensitive Relationship Information

Some of the information you share with us may be personal, emotional, or sensitive. For example, you may tell us about your relationship, your partner's preferences, private plans, proposal timing, family dynamics, budget, or personal concerns.

We use this information only to provide and improve the services you request, communicate with you, and operate our business.

We recommend that you do not submit highly sensitive information unless it is necessary for your plan. For example, you should avoid submitting Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, medical records, passwords, private photos you would not want in a keepsake, or information you are not comfortable sharing.

5. Use of AI, Software Tools, and Service Providers

Big Moments Company uses software tools, planning templates, automation, artificial intelligence tools, analytics tools, website providers, email platforms, payment processors, and other service providers to help operate the business and create your plan.

In particular, we use AI (Anthropic's Claude) to help draft your personalized plans (date nights and vacation plans) from your questionnaire answers and, for members, your memory vault, feedback, and date history. As part of drafting, the AI may run web searches (for example, to verify a restaurant's hours or a hotel's rates); those searches are shaped by your plan's needs, not your identity. Every AI-drafted plan is reviewed by a real person at Big Moments Company before it reaches you. A plan is never sent to you fully automatically.

These tools may help us:

  • Organize questionnaire responses
  • Draft or refine planning ideas for human review
  • Improve writing, structure, and formatting
  • Assemble keepsake scrapbooks
  • Manage orders, memberships, and customer communications
  • Process payments
  • Analyze website performance
  • Deliver emails or digital products

When we use third-party service providers, we share only the information reasonably necessary for them to perform their services for us. We do not authorize these providers to use your personal information for their own unrelated purposes, including training their AI models on your information.

Because your plan may include personal relationship details, please avoid sharing information that is unnecessary, extremely sensitive, or confidential.

6. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, or similar technologies to understand site traffic, improve user experience, measure marketing performance, and support website functionality.

Cookies are small files stored on your device. They may help us remember preferences, understand how visitors use our site, and improve our services. If you are a member, we use one essential cookie to keep you signed in to your dashboard.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the website, including member sign-in, may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

We may use third-party analytics or advertising tools, such as website analytics platforms, email marketing tools, or advertising pixels. These providers may collect information about your activity on our website and across other websites, subject to their own privacy policies.

Specifically, we use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to measure site traffic: pages visited, which links and buttons are clicked (for example, whether visitors click "Sign up"), how far down a page people read, general region, and device type. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to do this. We use these for measurement only: we do not send them your name or email, we never attach these measurements to your account, and we have not enabled Google's advertising, cross-site, or ads-personalization features. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, analytics is opt-in: we load no analytics cookies or scripts until you tell us it's alright, using the prompt shown when you arrive. Declining costs you nothing — the site behaves identically. To know whether to ask, our server records only a coarse "EU or not" marker for your browser; it does not store your country, IP address, or anything that identifies you. See our Cookie Policy for the details and how to change your answer.

7. Email Communications

If you sign up for our email list, submit a form, purchase a product, or join a membership, we may send you emails related to Big Moments Company.

These emails may include:

  • Order and membership confirmations
  • Product and keepsake delivery messages
  • One-time sign-in links for your member account
  • Customer support responses
  • Planning-related follow-ups
  • Service updates
  • Marketing emails
  • News, promotions, or new product announcements

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us at questions@bigmomentscompany.com.

Even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send you transactional or administrative messages related to your purchase, membership, account, plan, or customer service request.

Date-night invites from our free Cup Draw game are one-time emails sent at the request of the person who made the card — the recipient is never added to any mailing list. Every invite includes a one-click opt-out link; opted-out addresses go on a permanent do-not-email list that we check before any future invite is sent. Invite details (the sender and recipient email addresses, the card's contents, and the sender's IP address) are logged for up to 90 days for abuse prevention and safety, then deleted; email verification codes expire within minutes.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal relationship information.

Service Providers

We may share information with vendors who help us operate our business. These currently include Stripe (payments and subscriptions), SurveyMonkey (questionnaires), Cloudinary (storage for the photos, videos, and voice notes you upload), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (AI-assisted plan drafting), a postal-code lookup service (converting the zip code you provide into approximate map coordinates for trip planning), and our website and database hosting providers. We share only what each provider reasonably needs to do its job for us.

Legal or Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

  • Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or government request
  • Enforce our terms or policies
  • Protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
  • Protect the rights, privacy, safety, or property of others
  • Investigate fraud, security issues, or misuse of our services

Business Transfers

If Big Moments Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. If that happens, we will take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected.

With Your Consent

We may share information when you ask us to or give us permission. For example, if you ask us to coordinate with a photographer, florist, restaurant, hotel, or other vendor, we may share the information needed to help with that request.

9. Vendor Recommendations and Third-Party Links

Our plans may include suggestions for restaurants, photographers, florists, hotels, venues, shops, experiences, or other third-party vendors. These vendors are independent businesses and are not controlled by Big Moments Company.

If you contact, book, purchase from, or interact with a third-party vendor, that vendor's own privacy policy and terms will apply.

Our website may also link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of third-party websites.

10. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide services, manage orders and memberships, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, improve our products, and maintain business records.

Questionnaire responses and plan-related information may be kept for a reasonable period after delivery so we can answer follow-up questions, provide support, improve our services, and maintain order records.

If you are a member, we keep your couple profile, memory vault, uploaded moments, and keepsakes while your membership is active, because that history is what lets your plans get better every month. If you cancel, you may ask us to delete them.

If your membership ends and is not renewed, your account becomes a free account and your content stays waiting for you. We keep it for as long as you keep using Big Moments, and for 12 months after your last visit. We will email you about 30 days before that window closes. After it passes, your couple profile, memory vault, uploaded photos, videos and voice notes, keepsakes, and plan history are permanently deleted, including the media files themselves. Deletion is permanent and we cannot recover the content afterward.

The same 12-month rule applies to free accounts that are never used again. Simply signing in and using your account resets the clock, so an account you still visit is never deleted for inactivity.

If you want to keep your memories beyond that window, sign in before the deadline, restart your membership, or email us at questions@bigmomentscompany.com and we will help you save copies. You can also ask us to delete everything sooner.

You may request deletion of your personal planning information by contacting us at questions@bigmomentscompany.com. We may need to keep certain information if required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business purposes. After content deletion we retain a minimal account and billing record for those purposes.

11. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our website, member dashboard, and questionnaires run over secure, encrypted HTTPS connections, and our connection to the database that stores your information is encrypted with TLS. Information held by the providers we use to store it, including our database, file-storage (for your uploaded photos, videos, and voice notes), and payment providers, is encrypted at rest.

Some of the ways our platform is built with privacy in mind: member sign-in uses one-time email links instead of passwords, so there is no password to steal; payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers; and your keepsakes and dashboard are only visible when you are signed in with your own email.

Keepsake scrapbooks that we host as shareable web pages live at private, unlisted web addresses: they aren't published, indexed, or linked from anywhere public, so you can share them with the people you choose. Anyone who has the exact link can view that keepsake, so share your keepsake links thoughtfully.

However, no website, email system, payment system, or online service is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can help protect your privacy by using an email address only you can access, avoiding unnecessary sensitive information, and contacting us promptly if you believe your information has been compromised.

12. Your Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.

You may contact us to request that we:

  • Confirm whether we have personal information about you
  • Provide a copy of certain personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete certain information, including uploaded moments and keepsakes
  • Stop sending marketing emails
  • Limit certain uses of your information
  • Answer questions about how your information is used

To make a request, contact us at: questions@bigmomentscompany.com

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

13. California Privacy Notice

If you are a California resident, you may have additional privacy rights under California privacy laws.

Depending on the circumstances and whether applicable legal thresholds are met, California residents may have the right to:

  • Know what categories of personal information we collect
  • Know the purposes for which we use personal information
  • Know the categories of third parties with whom information is shared
  • Request access to personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Opt out of certain sharing or sale of personal information
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights

Big Moments Company does not sell personal relationship information.

To exercise California privacy rights, contact us at: questions@bigmomentscompany.com

14. International Visitors

Big Moments Company is operated from the United States. If you access our website or services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your location.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, or another region with specific privacy rights, you may have additional rights under applicable law. You may contact us at questions@bigmomentscompany.com to make a privacy request.

15. Children's Privacy

Big Moments Company is a service for adults. It is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Some of our planning questionnaires may ask about the people joining your plans, such as the ages of children traveling with you on a trip. That information is provided by you, the adult account holder, and is used only to build your plan.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us directly, please contact us at questions@bigmomentscompany.com, and we will take appropriate steps to delete the information.

16. Business and Team Inquiries

If you contact us as a business (a venue offering our couples a deal, or a company interested in Big Moments as an employee benefit), we collect the business contact details you submit (business or company name, your name, work email, phone, city, team size, and what you're proposing) and use them to evaluate and respond to your inquiry.

If your company provides Big Moments to employees as a benefit, each employee's plan is built from information the employee (not the employer) chooses to share with us, and we do not report an employee's personal relationship details back to their employer.

17. Testimonials, Reviews, and User Content

If you provide a testimonial, review, comment, photo, story, or other feedback, we may ask for your permission to use it in our marketing.

We will not publicly share your full relationship details, proposal details, private plan, keepsakes, or identifying personal information without your consent.

If we use anonymized or fictionalized examples, we may remove or change identifying details to protect privacy.

18. Data Deletion Requests

Because our services may involve personal and relationship-specific information, you may request deletion of your questionnaire responses, uploaded photos and voice notes, keepsakes, memory vault, or plan-related details after your plan has been delivered or your membership has ended.

To request deletion, email: questions@bigmomentscompany.com

Please include enough information for us to locate your order, account, or submission. We may retain limited records as needed for legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or business-record purposes.

19. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is not a uniform industry standard for responding to these signals, our website may not respond to them in a specific way.

You can control certain tracking technologies through your browser settings, cookie settings, and privacy tools provided by third-party platforms.

20. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice, such as posting a notice on our website or sending an email if appropriate.

Your continued use of our website or services after this Privacy Policy is updated means you accept the updated policy.
